Megafactories with Toyota and National Geographic

As an award winning channel, National Geographic Channel is trusted globally for editorial independence and factual accuracy, as well as compelling storytelling and superb visuals. The globally renowned Megafactories format was chosen to showcase Toyota’s innovation and quality and influence consumer perceptions in a positive and interesting way. Megafactories Toyota Australia offered viewers a fascinating ‘behind the scenes’ look into the precision engineering and manufacturing excellence that Toyota is renowned for.

A full episode was produced in the Australian and Japanese factories with short form edits for commercial distribution. Used as a consumer facing campaign and internal employee communications platform, this campaign was a world first for the Megafactories format.

Nominated for Best Integration or Brand Storytelling Non-Fiction at the BE Awards in 2013, Toyota Megafactories was also a huge commercial success. With over 4.6 million touch points amongst consumers and trade, our media strategy proved to be an impressive ROI.

As Head of Brand Strategy I oversaw the internal management of this campaign, client and agency service, performance and award entries.
